Sandy Jayne’s music is somewhere between pop, rock, and country. When I first heard Dangerous Angels, I wasn’t sure if this was country or not, but in my conversations with her, she told me that she is currently trying to reach more of a rock audience. I think she will reach both as her music is produced with some acoustic guitars, slide lead solos, and in some places, very well played rock lead guitar.
Sandy’s voice is heavenly (pardon the pun from her CD title) and she seems to have a range of around 2 1/2 octaves for which blends in perfectly with her music. When I saw Sandy perform live on Saturday, February 9, 2008, I discovered out that she sings as well live as she does on the record, although this was her first gig and she seemed to rush the lyrics a little. That happens to all of us when we are new to the stage.
Listen to her music on Myspace at http://www.myspace.com/sandyjayne or you can purchase her CD from http://www.LongIslandOnlineRadio.com/cds.php. Some of the most intriguing songs on the CD are the title track, Dangerous Angels, Nightwalk, and Where Did We Go Wrong.

The X’s headline gigs and open for some major acts, but what is interesting is that their music is somewhere between Van Halen and Green Day which hooks, power ballads, and rockers that can make some of the original MTV metal hitters look like Madonna.
Check out on Long Island Online Radio these songs from The X’s: Chemical Girl, Hot Enough, and Sould Sister. We have been podcasting this band from the beginning and they have toured all over the country opening for major acts in Chicago, Virgina, Washington, Pennsylvania, Florida, and mid west states.

We met Will Deynes and his lovely wife in Podcamp Boston back in October and he was doing a good job marketing his debut CD Stay to the crowd of 700+ podcasters.
I did not know Will at all, but we got to talking and I told him that I would sample his CD. All the songs sounded great, but it was Superwonderful that jumped out and immediately inspired me to play it on my podcasts.
Will Deynes is somewhere around the pop genre. In my opinion, Will’s music sounds something like a modern day Dave Matthews or Marshall Crenshaw.
Superwonderful’s lyrics are also down to earth and pretty much fits everyone’s old day dating situations which is a prelude to a girl he used to like, but never knew he existed. In the lyrics, he is asking this girl to turn her head, but never seems to. I am sure everyone can relate to the lyrics.
Another great song that we listen to and played on our podcasts is Better Way.

We have been podcasting the Mondays since January 2006 and their music is cool for alternative rock fans. The Mondays like to make party music similar to Green Day.
You can see the Mondays perform all over the country as they have performed in Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City, and more. Their tour is self funded and they have played at major events including the NY City Marathon in August 2007.
The Mondays are also a frequently podcasted band as well and their latest CD, Storyteller, has great tunes including Time and Alone, two showstoppers at multi band bills.
